On weekends and public holidays, La Tienda opens at 8:00 a.m. with the mountain-style version of breakfast, served outdoors: calentao de La Tienda (reheated rice and beans, the Antioquian classic) with arepa, fresh cheese, avocado, a fried egg and chicharrón; a personal arepa de chócolo (sweet corn arepa) with whipped butter and mozzarella; huevitos en cacerola (skillet eggs) your way — fried with hogao (tomato-onion sauce), scrambled or ranchero style; and the barrita de proteína, an arepa with fresh cheese and whipped butter that you can order with crispy chicharrón, house-made chorizo or morcilla. To finish, aguapanela (sugarcane drink), hot chocolate made with water or milk, and tinto (black coffee).

To share in the middle of the table: empanadas de posta cartagenera (Cartagena-style braised beef empanadas), an arepa medley, a canasta de ataque (snack basket) and salpicón (fresh fruit cocktail) with a wafer cone. And for dessert, the are-cherita: a cheese arepa with lecherita (sweetened condensed milk), the hometown classic done Redman style.
